a function "buildEclipse" that takes a binary Eclipse distribution
  plus metadata as arguments.  The package name now distinguishes
  between Eclipse distributions (e.g. "eclipse-sdk" for Classic,
  "eclipse-cpp" for the C/C++ IDE).
